LFW DAY 2
The Fashion ...
The fashion of Day 2 was as much about the styling as it was the design, from tonal looks (Seen at Toga & Shrimps) to new ways of wearing evening (will Gingham shirting under tie-dye slip dresses from Marques Almeida catch on?). Again it was all about the exaggerated sleeve lengths on everything from dresses to coats - and I think the it-piece to have this season and into next is the hoodie! Worn on the catwalk both casually and smart, look for hoodies with luxe details or in materials like lurex to elevate your look.
Beating the Rai...
Between shows I relaxed at a few different lounges. Was treated a massage at Forward PRs grooming room. Had lunch and caught up on emails in Amex's Press & Buyers lounge and Picked up a pair of House of Holland shades in Sunglass hut's tastemaker pop up.
The Line of the Day
"During Fashion week, I don't get out bed before 12 - unless it's McQueen! .... Otherwise watch it online hunny!" - Anisa Topan (PR extraordinaire)
The Parties...
Rolls- Royce in Mayfair hosted a cocktail party for Barrus, and once that wrapped we made our way to Soho for fashion-week party hosted by Urban Outfitters.
The Venues
From the Brewer St. Car Park (LFW's homebase) to the Freemasons' Hall & Tate Britain. Day 2 had no shortage of amazing venues, filled with enough soaring ceilings and ornate tiled floors to almost make you forget about the fashion on the catwalk, almost!
The Look
For Day 2, I decided to pay homage to my birthplace, by layering every piece of denim possible for the ultimate Canadian tuxedo. I'm talking jeans, denim shoes, Denim vest over
For the afterparties, it was all about a silver printed tuxedo shirt from Etro and a Silver bomber jacket from H&M, with jeans and trainers.
