Seven Feet Apart x Jamie Oliver
The latest creation to come from Jamie Oliver's kitchen is not what one might expect. Earlier this month we had the pleasure to visit Jamie Oliver's HQ for a night of laid back food and fancy footwear. It was a breath of fresh air from the usual event canapes as we were greeted with a rustic Italian banquet set against Jamie's open kitchen on arrival.
But the real star of the night wasn't the homemade pasta or fresh cheese it was the discovery of footwear brand Seven Feet Apart. One that's sure to be on everyone's feet if not wishlist in the next few months.
The line which donates 7% of its profits to charity and is produced ethically in Portugal by a family run factory mirrors Jamie's ethos for quality, philanthropy and family. During the brief speeches at the event Jamie referenced the grass-fed cured ham we'd just eaten which is from a local family run farm. His commitment to using ingredients of the finest quality whilst supporting his community has translated effortlessly from food to fashion.
Jamie who after 20 years in business finds himself, 'scheduled down to the second' worked on the collaboration as a passion-project with Seven Feet Apart. What started out as the ultimate 18th wedding anniversary present for his wife Jools, grew into the limited drop collection we were presented with at an intimate evening at his HQ.
The unisex collection features ultra soft leather in optic white and primary yellow with subtle details which recall Jamie and Jools love-story, including the Triathlon racing/ Hi-top hybrid style itself and the use quilting technique which is a tribute to Jamie's days working in an auto shop.
Jamie Oliver and Seven Feet Apart's attention to detail extended beyond the stitching on their latest collab, we wrapped up the night sippin’ ; on prosecco and left Jamie's HQ stuffed full of gourmet Italian cooking, with signed copies of his latest book and the promise of a fresh pair of sneaks from the exclusive collab (pics to follow from their blog debut!).
A fine evening indeed!
