What To Wear On Valentine's Day
Contributing to various online publications here and abroad means I am positively GIFTED out when it comes to Valentine's day if you're on the hunt for a last minute Valentine's day gift you can read my gift guides on Candid Magazine or Do The Daniel. I'm in no position to complain - lately, work has comprised of trolling the internet for luxe "love" themed gifts. I did come across some lovely pieces I'd love to give and receive, but with no Valentine in sight this year - I'm opting to spend some of that extra cash on a little self-love (read: Food and drink!).
But what to wear on Date Night?
This year I'm ditching the heart-printed tie and in-your-face red for something a little more subdued. Dark denim with raw edge seams, a black polo neck, and the colour of the moment: aubergine.
With Eggplant Friday still trending on Instagram, I figure it's worth showing a prospective V-day date that you don't mind breaking a sweat by donning an athleisure inspired popover.
A croc-stamped portfolio in a matching hue is just enough luxe to take this look from running laps to ordering martinis.
I'll be finishing my "Day of Love" look with some Lanvin, in the form of stingray print double monk strap derbies.
